Emergency wait times at Tamworth Hospital among worst in health district as ED attendances spike

The Bureau of Health Information says the hospital treated 55% of patients in an emergency on time in the June quarter this year, which is down from 67% in the same period last year. But the Hunter New England Local Health District says the hospital has seen an increase of 40% in ED presentations in that period, compared with the June quarter in 2020. 🎧 Listen to this story and more with the local news team.
